New Appeal for Homework Centre in South Africa!

We are excited to announce our first fundraising project for the Buffalo Flats Homework Centre, in South Africa!

The Centre runs programmes which help underprivileged children with their school work. The Centre has asked CHW for funding for ten tables. The number of children who attend the Centre has more than doubled over the past few months, and so larger tables will help to seat the children more comfortably. The tables will be made locally, and each will be able to seat eight children, and will also have a rust-proof coating. It will cost three hundred and fifty seven pounds to fund the ten tables.

If you want to get involved with this project, there are three ways you can help:

As well as this being our first time to fundraise for the Centre, this is also the first South African project we are supporting outside Cape Town! The Homework Centre is located in East London, in the Eastern Cape. Many thanks to Michelle Martin for introducing us to the Centre. Catherine from CHW was glad to have the chance to visit and we are really happy to support the Centre’s excellent work.
