It can be fun to set yourself a challenge and do something for charity at the same time! You can make a difference in the lives of the children we work with, by fundraising through a challenge event.
Challenge Central chose CHW as one of its charity partners this year. You can see our page on their website here. Challenge Central organises challenges for groups and individuals. Their current challenges include: The 3 Peaks Challenge, London to Paris Cycle, Kilimanjaro Trek, London to Amsterdam Cycle, The Welsh 3000s, Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and Dragon Boat Racing. To take part in any of these challenges, you must book through Challenge Central’s website, and pay the fees directly to them. For more information about Challenge Central, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
After arranging to do one of the challenges, you can then set up a fundraising page to support CHW through BT MyDonate. All the details are below.
Making a Fundraising Page
If you decide to do a challenge to support CHW, either through Challenge Central, or independently, you will want to let as many people as possible know about what you are doing, so they can support you! You can do this by making a page on BT MyDonate. It is free, and very easy to do. Start by going to CHW’s page, here. On the right, you click on the arrow next to the phrase “start fundraising” and then select the “create my challenge” option. Once you have made your page, it is a good idea to email the link to your friends, family and colleagues and share it on social media too. If you post it to our facebook page or tweet it to us at @CHWchildren and we will share the link as well!
We are excited that you are thinking about doing a challenge to support CHW! If you have any questions about the charity, or would like further information, please email email@example.com.
Ash Watkins has decided to do a year of walking and cycling challenges to support CHW in 2015! We are so grateful. If you can, please do support Ash’s efforts, and help the children we work with, by sponsoring Ash. Ash’s fundraising page is here.
