Urgent Help Needed for Educational Materials for Migrant Children in China

Update: This project has now been funded! Thank you to each person who helped. We are aiming to raise this same amount again for the semester starting in February, so if you would still like to help these children, donations to buy these materials for the February semester would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who help!

Stepping Stones is based in Shanghai and its projects focus on the educational, health and welfare needs of migrant children.

Child at Stepping Stones' programmes

Last year, CHW’s supporters sponsored teaching materials for one of Stepping Stones’ educational programmes. Stepping Stones has asked us for help with the teaching materials for the coming year. Stepping Stones’ staff and trained volunteers will go to migrant schools and community centres and give lessons and extra support. Whilst the budget for the whole year is £1,074.10, we would like to raise the amount needed for the first semester as soon as possible (September to February), as this semester begins in less than a month! The total needed for this first semester is £537.05. A breakdown of the items is below.

Needs:

Textbooks – £185.90

Stationery – £103.28

Paper – £103.28

Memory sticks – £61.97

Printing – £51.64

Folders – £30.98

How to help:

If you can help by sharing this project with others, by email or on social media, that would be wonderful.
