Cookie Challenge to help Children in Cape Town

This is one of the projects we are launching in advance of #GivingTuesday. You can sponsor a bucket of cookies and support The Future Factory’s (TFF) programmes in Cape Town. TFF runs sports programmes for disadvantaged children, as well as supporting creches, feeding schemes and more. In partnership with a local company, called Eet-Me Cookies, TFF is doing a cookie drive to fundraise. If TFF sells a bucket of cookies, it gets funding for its programmes.

Children at TFF Programme

At CHW, we want to sponsor buckets of cookies. This will help two groups of children. The money raised through sponsoring buckets will support TFF’s programmes, helping children in the poorest parts of Cape Town. Also, TFF will donate the buckets sponsored by CHW’s supporters to creches for disadvantaged children. These children will get a break time snack and the buckets can be used for other things, like storing crayons and toys, etc.

Sponsoring a bucket of cookies costs £3.80.

We asked you, CHW’s supporters, to vote and set the goal for this challenge. You told us that CHW should aim to get 300 buckets of cookies sponsored! This is a big challenge, but together, we can do it!

Ways to take action and get involved!

1. Sponsor one or more bucket of cookies!

You can donate using the Paypal button below, or click here for other payment options.

If you use the Paypal button, you can enter the amount you want to contribute. £3.80 will sponsor 1 bucket; £7.60 will sponsor 2; £19 will sponsor 5; £38 will sponsor 10; £95 will sponsor 25; and £190 will sponsor 50.

2.  Become a cookie bucket challenge ambassador and spread the word. See how many people you know would be willing to sponsor a bucket of cookies. Sharing this post on social media would be a great help!

3. Arrange an actual cookie or cake sale. Unfortunately the biscuits made by Eet-Me Cookies are only available in Cape Town, but if you have a cookie or cake sale at your work, university or school, everyone can enjoy some baked goods and the proceeds of the sale can then go towards sponsoring buckets of cookies for TFF.
