Birthday Greetings to Darrell!

Darrell Hines and his company, Ronco Cayman, have supported children at many of CHW’s projects around the world. We are delighted that Sally and Kieran have given a donation to CHW, in Darrell’s name, as a birthday gift.  This was such a kind and thoughtful thing to do!

Children at ORT SA CAPE’s projects in South Africa will benefit from this donation in Darrell’s name.

We will soon be launching our first project for ORT SA CAPE, an organisation in Cape Town, which assists children from impoverished communities with literacy, science, technology and maths. CHW will be fundraising to cover the costs of one of their holiday workshops, where thirty disadvantaged children will do various activities, including robotics, reading exercises on tablets and visiting the Science Museum and the Planetarium. The children would never usually have the chance to do such things, and this may inspire an interest in science, which they will carry on with at school, and beyond.

Sally and Kieran’s £50 donation, in Darrell’s name, will go towards this project. Thank you for this first contribution towards our appeal for ORT SA CAPE!  This is a lovely gift for Darrell and for the children in Cape Town.
