We want you to become involved! Children's Helpers Worldwide is pleased to say that anyone can become a Children's Helper!
Take a look around our website. We have a page for each country we work in. From these you will be able to see exactly how we aim to help the children and can decide how you would like to get involved. There are various ways you can help make a difference to these children's lives from giving your time arranging a fundraising event, to making a donation. Some of the ways you can get involved are outlined below.
Make a Financial Donation:
You can give a donation towards one of our current appeals and we will then keep you updated with the project. As well as one-off contributions, you can also make continuous donations, either to support a particular ongoing project, or you can leave it to us to allocate your donation to where it is needed. We will always keep you updated with news from the projects your funding supports.

Sponsor a Child:
We have set up a sponsorship scheme with one of the orphanages we work with in Ghana. Just fifteen pounds per month can provide food for a child. If you are able to give more, it will go towards school items and clothes for the child. You will receive information and photos of the child you are helping. Any time one of our volunteers visits the orphanage, she or he will bring back a letter from the child you are sponsoring.

Other Donations:
In some cases, we would appreciate donations of items. For example, we are linked with the Shanghai Boai Children's Rehabilitation Centre and they need equipment which is not easily available in China. To read more about the Centre and its needs, please go to our China page.
From time to time, we also arrange collections of clothes, toys, or school items for distribution to our projects. Whenever we are running a collection, it will be advertised here, so keep checking back! Some of the local organisations we support would be happy to receive items if you are travelling to where they are based. If you are going to any of the countries we work in and would like to take donated items, please contact us, as it may be possible to set this up.
Volunteer:
Every person working with Children's Helpers Worldwide is a volunteer, and we are always looking for more people who want to help. Could you join in?
We arrange our own fundraising events and always need volunteers for these. Our headquarters are in the UK and we also have a fundraising branch in Germany. In the UK, our fundraisers have mostly been held in London, but this is not always the case. If you would like us to let you know when we are holding fundraising events and need help, please email Catherine on catherine@chworldwide.org, if you are in the UK, or Jana on jana@chworldwide.org, if you are in Germany.
We would also love to hear from people who could hold their own fundraising events for us. Running a fundraiser is very rewarding, and you get to help the children from around the world, as well as having a good time yourself!
Here are some ideas for fundraisers which we have held in the past. To fundraise towards building a playground at a Ghanaian orphanage, some students from Aberystwyth came up with the idea of packing shoppers' bags at a local supermarket. In return, the shoppers would make a small donation. In one afternoon, they had raised nearly a third of the money needed to build the playground!
Other past fundraisers have included holding a children's fun day, running a coin collection, holding a charity concert and arranging a charity dinner. We always want to hear about new ideas for fundraising too.
